PRISTINA, March 4 (Hina) - The leader of Macedonia's Albanians, Ali Ahmeti, arrived in Kosovo on Tuesday for a three-day visit at the invitation of the U.N. civil administrator in the province, Michael Steiner.

Ahmeti said talks with Steiner addressed security in the region and
Macedonia-Kosovo cooperation.
"I have come here as part of bids to normalise relations between
Macedonia and Kosovo, because stability in the region helps fulfil
both countries' aspirations towards integration into the European
Union."
Ahmeti, leader of the biggest Albanian party in Kosovo -- the Party
of Democratic Unity -- and one-time leader of the National
Liberation Army in Macedonia, will attend a ceremony marking the
fifth anniversary of the beginning of the Kosovo Liberation Army
struggle to free Kosovo.
