BELGRADE, March 16 (Hina) - The Democratic Party's (DS) Main Committee commenced its session at noon on Sunday with observing a minute's silence in memory to the slain Serbian premier and the party leader, Zoran Djindjic.

It is expected of the party leadership, that is holding the meeting
at the Sava hall in Belgrade, to nominate a new premier-designate of
Serbia.
A DS vice president, Zoran Zivkovic, who stands best chances to
succeed Djindjic, and other party officials will hold speeches.
