Upon his arrival in Belgrade, Racan expressed sympathies and
solidarity with Serbia's citizens and democratic forces, stating
that "this difficult situation will be overcome".
"It is extremely important that in these difficult moments we
demonstrate our readiness to cooperate and develop good
neighbourly relations," Racan said at the federal government
building, where foreign delegations gathered ahead of Djindjic's
funeral.
Racan said that Croatia had established a good cooperation and
relations with Djindjic's government and that he had therefore come
to Belgrade to pay his last respects to the assassinated premier.
