OSIJEK, March 6 (Hina) - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of
Osijek's multi-plant works, IPK, Ivica Pancic, said in Osijek on

Plant stabilised and higher export of sugar is expected. #L#
Pancic said at a news conference that a recent visit of a EU sub-
commission for trade had shown that omissions relating to the case
of last August had been resolved, and that the sub-commission was
satisfied with the undertaken measures.
IPK CEO, Zvonko Erak, said the investigation in the case was not
entirely completed, but the amount of sugar-cane sugar mixture was
lesser than one had thought at the start.
Erak said that after the scandal, exports had decreased for a period
of time, but that exports to Italy and Austria, which accounted for
95% of the sugar plant's exports, was now at normal levels.
The plant last year processed 482,850 tonnes of sugar beet and
manufactured 52,256 tonnes of sugar, while sugar reserves at the
end of last year amounted to 63,000 tonnes.
