ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - A Croatian Military Police platoon, comprising 40 men and four women, on Thursday night left for Afghanistan where they will take part in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) as part of the German
contingent.

The Military Police officers were seen off at Zagreb's airport by
senior officials of the defence ministry and army, including Chief-
of-Staff Josip Lucic, Assistant Defence Minister Jelena Grcic
Polic and Military Vicar Juraj Jezerinac.
General Lucic congratulated the soldiers on their decision to
volunteer for the peace mission. He voiced confidence they would
perform their duties there in the best possible way.
Grcic Polic wished them good luck and success in the mission, as did
the former Military Police head, General Mato Lausic.
