ZAGREB, Feb 18 (Hina) - Leaders of Croatia's oil company INA last week visited Namibia where they held talks with local officials about investing in and receiving a concession for drilling and producing oil and gas from a field there,

ZAGREB, Feb 18 (Hina) - Leaders of Croatia's oil company INA last
week visited Namibia where they held talks with local officials
about investing in and receiving a concession for drilling and
producing oil and gas from a field there, INA said on Tuesday. #L#
The talks focused on the development of the oil and gas business and
the exchange of technical and professional information regarding
oil and natural gas ventures, with an emphasis on INA's prospects to
get a concessions to drill for and produce oil and gas in a Namibian
field.
The talks also touched upon Croatia's and INA's participation in
drilling for oil in neighbouring Angola. The Croatian company has
been active in Egypt for years and has recently begun operating in
Syria.
Over the next five years the company plans to invest more than US$1
billion in drilling for and producing oil, especially abroad.
