More foreign store chains on the Croatian market eventually benefit
consumers because of the wider selection of goods and lower prices,
and boost the economy, the ministry maintains.
According to its data, trade accounts for ten percent of gross
domestic product.
The arrival of foreign store chains has also impacted the
demonopolisation of the domestic market, said the ministry.
