OSIJEK, Feb 10 (Hina) - The Public Works Ministry will continue the reconstruction of school buildings that were damaged or destroyed during the war and that were classified as priority buildings by the Education and Sports Ministry,
the Public Works Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Reconstruction works in Osijek-Baranja County will include five
schools in Budimci, Tenja, Djakovacka Selca, Viskovci and Gorjani
and three more schools and a dormitory in Osijek.
The investment, worth 56.19 million kuna (EUR7.49 million), is part
of the CEB 5 programme. Fifty percent of the funds was secured from
the state budget and the other half from a loan of the Council of
Europe's Development Bank.
A total of 122 school buildings will be renovated or rebuilt within
this programme, worth 793 million kuna (EUR105.73). The deadline
for the implementation of the programme is December 2005.
A total of 184 schools in the whole of Croatia have been rebuilt so
far. Around 561.6 million kuna (EUR74.88 million) was invested into
the reconstruction of these schools, of which 123 were renovated
with state funds and 61 in cooperation with the Council of Europe's
Development Bank.
