ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - The government is ready to negotiate about everything, including the contentious provisions of a bill on changes to the Labour Act, it was stated at a meeting of a tripartite task force entrusted with settling
open issues regarding the Labour Act.

Government officials who participated in the talks at the Office
for Social Partnership stated that the government's stands
regarding four contentious institutions from the law - severance
pay, period of notice, the definition of the small businessman and
the equation of permanent and temporary work contracts - were not
unchangeable.
The task force, which is also to define compensation in case the new
labour act restricts workers' rights, will discuss continuing its
work on Thursday, at a regular session of the president and two
vice-presidents of the Economic-Social Council.
