internal affairs and national security will hold a session on the

committee chairman Ante Markov said on Friday. #L#
All MPs have been invited to the closed-door session. Its holding
was requested this week by the bench of the Croatian Party of Rights
(HSP) and the Croatian Christian Democratic Union (HKDU).
HSP president Anto Djapic said his motives for the session were
newspaper reports and letters about the difficult situation in the
armed forces by senior military officials.
Defence Minister Zeljka Antunovic today dismissed the claims,
stating that the session of the national security committee had
been convened before the HSP/HKDU request.
"I can thank colleague Djapic for pointing to the need for such a
debate, and I hope that all other parliamentary parties will take
part in it," she told a news conference.
Antunovic said that besides herself and the military chief-of-
staff, other senior officials at the defence ministry and the
military would attend the session and inform MPs about the
situation in the armed forces and their reorganisation.
