ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The majority in the Croatian parliament on Friday turned down a motion by the Social Liberals (HSLS) to have the Sabor debate during the current session all circumstances in connection with the privatisation of
the Suncani Hvar company and the implementation of conclusions adopted concerning the ratification of a deal with Slovenia on the Krsko nuclear power plant.
ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The majority in the Croatian parliament on
Friday turned down a motion by the Social Liberals (HSLS) to have
the Sabor debate during the current session all circumstances in
connection with the privatisation of the Suncani Hvar company and
the implementation of conclusions adopted concerning the
ratification of a deal with Slovenia on the Krsko nuclear power

The majority of the benches do not object to having these issues
debated but have said the debates have to be well-prepared, be based
on facts and not newspaper articles and impressions.
Their position is that said issues should be debated at the next or
one of the next sessions.
The motion was endorsed by the opposition benches, which said
postponing could only harm Croatia's interests.
