The adoption of the declaration has been moved by MPs of Bujar
Dugollia's Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and supported by 42
other MPs.
Even though all Albanian parties are in favour of Kosovo's
independence in principle, MPs of the two leading parties --
Ibrahim Rugova's Democratic Alliance of Kosovo and Hashim Thaqi's
Democratic Party of Kosovo -- have not backed the motion.
It is believed their MPs will not vote for the declaration, which
does not have the support of the international community, and that
the document will not win the majority of parliament's 120 votes.
