The UNMIK should be assisting these institutions, not just issuing
orders and sending incorrect information to the UN Security
Council. The Security Council is making decisions on Kosovo based
on UNMIK information, which is "often contrary to the reality in
Kosovo," Rexhepi told the Kosova Live news agency.
The UN Security Council's Resolution 1244, which contains
provisions on the governing of Kosovo, should be amended or
improved because its provisions are out of date and are becoming an
obstacle to further development, the prime minister said.
Rexhepi is convinced that the province is close to finding a
solution for its final status because its institutions have been
increasingly efficient since their establishment a year ago.
