Protection, "Potrosac". #L#
In an open letter, Potrosac asked Prime Minister Ivica Racan
whether a possible war in Iraq and "oil shock" as a result of it
would increase the price of oil products by 25 percent and cause a
chain effect of price increases for other products in Croatia.
The government is continuously following the development of events
through competent ministries and services with regard to fuel
supply and movement of prices of consumer goods, as well as to
international events, the government's public relations office
said in a press release.
Experts have estimated that significant changes to the price of raw
oil were not possible, since this would cause disorder in the offer
and demand on the global market, which suits neither the producers
of oil, nor its consumers.
Such a situation again confirms the justification of projects as is
the integration of the Druzba and Adria pipelines for which an
interstate support agreement was signed recently, the government
says.
The pipeline increases security and quality of dispatching crude
oil to all refineries on the JANAF line.
