If these Labour Law amendments are adopted, employees will be
losing jobs more easily, without any guarantees for easier
employment, NHS president Kresimir Sever told reporters.
This government's suggestion is just as unacceptable as the one
dating from the period before May 1, for which four unions organised
a protest rally for Labour Day, after which the government withdrew
it temporarily.
The NHS expects the Federation of Independent Croatian Unions
(SSSH), the Croatian Association of Unions (HUS) and the
Association of Croatian Employee Unions (URSH) to dismiss the
amendments in the coming days.
The four union federations should hold a meeting at the end of next
week to agree on joint actions against the motion and for the
defence of the current level of workers' rights, said Sever.
