"If I am elected Croatia's president, I will abide by all constitutional provisions which state that Croatia must care for Croats living outside of Croatia, especially for Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Their contribution to the defence of Croatia's sovereignty is invaluable," Kosor said.
Kosor met with representatives of local Croat war veterans' associations which supported her presidential candidacy. She said that they had discussed an agreement between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina that would regulate the rights of Bosnian Croat veterans. The agreement is expected to be signed next year and go into force on 1 January 2006.
The HDZ presidential candidate also visited Mostar University, the only institution of higher education with classes in the Croatian language, and the local clinical hospital.
