Montenegro Army chief of staff at a session the state union's Supreme Defence
Council held on Thursday, replacing Branko Krga, who retired.Paskas, until now commander of the Novi Sad Corps, is the first major
general to be appointed military chief of staff. His predecessors on the new
post were all lieutenant generals.
The Supreme Defence Council sent 11 army generals above the age of 55
into retirement and promoted a number of high ranking officers.
