Responding to inquiries by presidential candidates and the media if direct confrontation of two or several candidates was allowed, the DIP recalled that before the start of the official election campaign it had reminded all the media of their obligation to provide equal opportunity to presidential candidates to present their platforms and conduct their campaigns as envisaged by the Law on the Election of the President of the Republic.
