Petrak told a news conference in Zagreb that he and the HPS (nonparliamentary party) advocated the introduction of a strong presidential system in the country such as in France, the United States or the Russian Federation. That's why he and his party are in favour of amending the constitution and the re-establishment of the House of Counties (as the upper house of parliament).
Petrak complained about media paying more attention to Stjepan Mesic and Jadranka Kosor than to other candidates for the presidential polls, scheduled for 2 January.
