The Bank and Croatian Waters, which is the government's agency based in Zadar, in July this year signed an agreement on the EUR 40-million loan for the implementation of this first stage of this project. The aim of the entire project, which will cost 80 million euros, is to improve the quality of the sea in the Croatian coastal area in accordance with standards of the European Union. The project envisages the construction of sewage systems and efficient waste management in 177 cities and towns along the coast.
