ZAGREB, Dec 7 (Hina) - Members of the Croatian parliament discussed a final draft of the maritime code on Tuesday afternoon, describing it as a better solution than the existing code.

Some opposition MPs, however, pointed out that sailors were not completely satisfied with the final draft.

The question is how to create the same or similar conditions for all sailors, Sime Prtenjaca of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ ) said, adding that there were a few categories of sailors depending on which ships and at which lines they sail.

Deputies were pleased that the government had adopted objections raised by MPs after the first parliamentary reading and decided that permission for foreign ships carrying nuclear weapons to enter the Adriatic would be given by the government, rather than the defence minister, after the National Agency for Atomic Energy gave its opinion.
