SARAJEVO, Dec 7 (Hina) - The Bosnian Federation's parliament on Tuesday discussed problems in connection with Bosnians who had been fired from their jobs in Croatia from 1991 to 1995.

The House of Representatives of the Croat-Muslim entity received a report on the subject, submitted at the proposal of the Muslim-dominated Party of Democratic Action (SDA). Presenting the report, Mirsad Hasanic said that during the war in Croatia between 60,000 and 100,000 citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina, mostly non-Croats , had been laid off from work.

According to the report, many of those had worked in Croatian companies for 20 and more years, and after being laid off, which they believe was unlawful, they failed to exercise their rights arising from pension and social insurance.

During the debate, some MPs objected to the figure on the dismissed Bosnians, so that the federal executive authorities were told to determine the exact figure.

The parliament sent a recommendation to Bosnia's Council of Ministers to take action in cooperation with the Croatian government to ensure severance pay and disability or pension allowances for the dismissed workers.
