VIENNA, Dec 5 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader arrived in Vienna on Sunday to attend the "Croatia-Austria-Europe" conference.

Sanader will address the forum tonight, speaking of Croatia's European Union integration from the political and economic points of view.

Attending the opening of the three-day conference will be Austrian Chancellor Wofgang Schuessel, Stability Pact for Southeast Europe special coordinator Erhard Busek, and the vice president of the Austrian Chamber of the Economy, Richard Schenz.

The event is expected to pool 150 participants who will discuss four topics: "Croatia from Europe's Point of View - Europe from the Croatian Point of View," "Market Possibilities and Risks," "Research and Innovations" and "Croatia on the Road to the EU".

The conference is organised by the European Forum Alpbach, the Austrian Chamber of the Economy, the Danube Region and Central Europe Institute, and the Vienna-based Austrian-Croatian Society.

Croatia-Austria economic relations are constantly rising, as seen in the fact that Austria is the number one direct foreign investor in Croatia and Croatia's fourth biggest trade partner. Trade in 2003 amounted to EUR1.4 billion, while this year it is expected to reach EUR1.7 billion.
