Based on a report drawn up by a Split County Court commission and an interview with Judge Domic, Judge Benzon decided that she had acted contrary to the Law on Litigation Procedure.
Explaining the request for disciplinary proceedings, Benzon said that Domic had passed verdicts in a number of cases in the absence of the sued party.
As the president of the Supetar court in 2004, Domic delegated cases in an unlawful way, thus abusing her position and powers.
This prompted Judge Benzon to request the State Judicial Council (DSV) to relieve Domic of duty as a judge.
In a letter to Benzon two days ago, Domic said that the Split County Court report was not based on properly established facts and objective circumstances.
Earlier this week, Domic also filed a complaint with the Split County Court regarding a report by the Justice Ministry which describes a number of irregularities in the work of the Supetar court.
She requested that the Supreme Court carry out a second inspection into the court's performance, which was accepted.
The Split County police department pressed charges against Domic in late September, stating that she passed a number of unlawful verdicts in cases of registration of real estate in Brac enabling the suing parties to become the owners of land which did not belong to them and causing damage worth millions of kuna to the sued parties.
