Opposition parties -- SDP, HNS, HSP, HSS and IDS -- yesterday voiced dissatisfaction with the conclusions of the parliamentary Home Affairs and National Security Committee, which had considered a report compiled by the Office of the National Security Council concluding that the Counterintelligence Agency (POA) had not acted unlawfully when interviewing Puljiz in October.
The parliamentary committee also established that there were no legal reasons for relieving Josko Podbevsek of his duty as POA head.
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic already signed a decision on Podbevsek's dismissal, while Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has so far refused to countersign it,
Opposition MPs will also ask Sabor Speaker Vladimir Seks to ask the Council for Civilian Supervision of Secret Services to submit a report on intelligence services, Lucin said.
The said council is bound to submit a report to the Parliament every six months.
The head of the council, Vlatko Cvrtila, today said that the body had sent a report to Seks in June on the first six months of its activities, but so far there has been no feedback.
Cvrtila added that the council was now preparing its annual report on its activities in 2004.
