"In light of the fact that it is her last report to the Security Council, I expect the chief prosecutor to send a considerably clear, if not even strong-worded, message when she calls on all countries, covered by the Hague tribunal, to meet their obligations," Zuzul said on Monday in Brussels where he attended a ministerial conference of the European Union.
Zuzul departed from Brussels for New York where he will take part in the UN Security Council's session at which the tribunal's president, Theodor Meron, and Chief Prosecutor del Ponte are expected to submit reports on their work.
"Meron is likely to give a general assessment on the work of the tribunal, including Croatia's cooperation with the court, while the chief prosecutor will comment on all unsolved issues in the region, and in the case of Croatia on the the one remaining case (of runaway General Ante Gotovina) which has always been highlighted," Zuzul said.
He added that he was going to present Croatia's position on the tribunal's work at tomorrow's session of the Security Council.
"I think that the Croatian government's position is transparent, we have no doubts that there is only one possible model and that is absolute cooperation with the Hague-tribunal," Zuzul said.
