The Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) is a full member of this organisation, which was developed in the early 90s in order to establish cooperation and hold regular meetings of newly established and already existing export credit agencies from Eastern and Central Europe.
Since the start of 2000, members the Prague Club have mediated in business deals whose volume has risen from 127 million dollars to 6.6 billion dollars.
The Prague club, which currently gathers some 30 countries, was set up on the initiative of the Berne Union, international association of insurers of export credits and investments. The primary role of the Berne Union is the promotion of sound principles of export credit and investment insurance, standardization of insurance conditions, international co-operation in the field of export credits and investments as well as exchange of information and knowledge between the members.
