The government has proposed a 90.9 billion kuna budget and at an extraordinary session on Tuesday it rejected all 325 amendments submitted by MPs.
Under one of the amendments that was adopted by the parliamentary majority, export incentives will be increased by 80 million kuna, and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts will be allocated 2.1 million kuna saved from international membership fees of the Finance Ministry.
Finance Minister Ivan Suker said that other government amendments referred to internal reallocations, with the final amounts not being changed.
The parliament adopted a proposal by the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) not to use the electronic voting system, but vote on amendments by a show of hands, estimating that this would speed up the voting procedure.
At the start of the session deputies from the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) objected that the government failed to envisage funds for a Homeland War memorial and documentation centre.
Parliament speaker Vladimir Seks said that funds for the centre were part of the allocation for the Culture Ministry, and that no additional changes to the draft budget were possible.
