ZAGREB, Nov 15 (Hina) - Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic said on Monday the draft national budget for 2005 envisaged 65 million kuna more for his ministry than the 2004 budget and that this was more than he had asked for.

This year the Defence Ministry was allocated 3.58 billion kuna, while next year it is expected to receive 3.65 billion.

Speaking at an event marking the second anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces General Staff Logistics Command, Roncevic said Logistics would be included into the Armed Forces computer system next year.

Asked about the Strategic Defence Review, he said the first draft would be ready by the end of the year, then submitted to NATO experts for suggestions, and be finalised in April 2005.

Roncevic announced that a decision on whether military service would continue to be compulsory in Croatia would be made by 2007.
