The seminar is attended by some 70 students and 15 teachers of history, geography, philosophy, sociology and English from Osijek, Vukovar and Slavonski Brod counties.
The purpose of the seminar is to acquaint students and their teachers with the functioning of the European Union and the course of Croatia's adjustment to EU standards, pre-accession funds, etc, said Tatjana Corlija, a senior advisor with the ministry.
Andreas Staab, director of the European Policy Information Centre from London, held a lecture about the Economic and Monetary Union, the single European market, the farming and regional policies, and Croatia-EU relations.
The first seminar on the EU for high school students from Osijek was held in March this year.
