ZAGREB, Nov 15 (Hina) - The Zagreb Trade Fair celebrated the 95th
anniversary of its existence on Monday, with Trade Fair Director Davorin Spevec
saying that the Fair had been synonymous with the growth and role of the City
of Zagreb ever since its foundation in 1909.The ceremony was attended among others by the head of the Croatian
Chamber of the Economy, Nadan Vidosevic, and the President of the Republic,
Stjepan Mesic, who said that the Zagreb Trade Fair was the most important
business exhibition in Croatia and this part of Europe.
Mesic also said that the City of Zagreb as the owner of the Fair should
respond to numerous business challenges by developing a new vision of
development of the Zagreb Trade Fair, and that the Fair should be given a
special position in the new, export-oriented Croatian economy.
