ZAGREB, Oct 20 (Hina) - On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of
the birth of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, an exhibition by Zeljka Lovrencic and
Jordan Jelic called "Pablo Neruda: Life and Work" was opened in Zagreb on
Wednesday.#L#
The exhibition of Neruda's work includes the
material from the holdings of Zagreb's National and University Library, some
Russian editions and those which arrived from Latin America in Zagreb owing to
the authors of the exhibition and the Chilean Embassy in Croatia.
The event, organised by the National and University Library and
the Chilean Embassy in Zagreb, was opened by Croatian Assistant Science,
Education and Sports Minister Mirjana Polic Bobic.
Pablo Neruda (1904-1973), Chilean poet and a Nobel prize
winner, wrote several collections of poems some of which had been translated
into Croatia.
