chairman of the ChineseCouncil for Promoting International Trade Yu Ping and Deputy TradeMinister Yu Guangzhou, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in astatement.
BEIJING, Nov 8 (Hina) - On the first day of his official visit to
China, Croatian Economy Labour and Entrepreneurship Minister Branko Vukelic in
Beijing on Monday met Chinese Deputy Minister for Development Reforms Zhu
Zhixinom, deputy chairman of the Chinese Council for Promoting International
Trade Yu Ping and Deputy Trade Minister Yu Guangzhou, the Croatian Economy
Ministry said in a statement.Also held on Monday was the eight session of the joint Croatian-Chinese
economic committee which is meeting based on the signed agreement on trade and
economic cooperation between the two countries.
This is the first visit of a Croatian Economy Minister since 1999 and it
is aimed at developing and promoting the overall Croatia-China relations, the
statement said.
The talks focused on the promotion of economic cooperation.
On Tuesday Vukelic is expected to hold talks with Chinese Trade Minister
Bo Xilai after which he is scheduled to travel to Shanghai.
