Samdhong Rinpoche is a monk and a university professor who came to Croatia at the invitation of the Association for the Support to Tibet.
According to a statement issued by Biscevic's office, the Chinese Ambassador expressed conviction that in relations with the People's Republic of China, Croatian state institutions were following the already confirmed principles and added he hoped they would continue doing so.
Biscevic expressed Croatia's commitment to "a single China" and stressed Croatian state institutions were not taking part in the activities regarding the said visit.
