Kesic-Sapic cited possibilities for cooperation in the areas of infrastructure construction, environmental protection, water management, agriculture, energy, shipbuilding, tourism, entrepreneurship, joint ventures on third markets, and free zones, the Ministry said in a statement.
It was agreed that based on the agreement on economic cooperation signed by the two governments in August 2000, a joint committee on economic cooperation would be established to elaborate possible forms of cooperation.
Croatia invited Israeli Industry and Trade Minister Ehud Olmerta to visit Croatia, and Rubinstein said that Olmerta planned to visit Croatia next year.
In the first half of 2004 trade between Croatia and Israel amounted to USD12.3 million, which was 0.6 per cent less than in the same period in 2003. Croatian exports to Israel totalled USD2.8 million, which was 40 per cent less than in the first six months last year, while its imports were USD9.5 million, an increase of 23.9 per cent.
