BELGRADE, Oct 30 (Hina) - Two witnesses from Serbia who were detained
at the Lora prison in Split, Croatia, have said they are willing to testify at
a retrial for war crimes committed at Lora in the 1990s but only by video
link, Belgrade's Radio B92 said on Saturday.Milance Tosic said he would not go to Split to testify because he did
not know how he would be welcomed there, while Nenad Filipovic said that only
three of the eight accused had been arrested.
The eight defendants were acquitted at the first trial in 2002, but the
Croatian Supreme Court quashed the sentence in August this year, requesting a
retrial before a new panel of judges.
The date of the retrial has not been set yet.
