Nikola Besenski decided on Sunday to initiate an investigation into a
29-year-old man suspected of throwing a hand grenade outside the offices of the
local branch of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP).Besenski told reporters that there were reasonable grounds to suspect
that the man, identified as Zoran O., had committed a crime of endangering
human life and property.
The judge said he had once again heard the accused, but declined to
reveal if the accused had admitted guilt, saying that he could not answer the
question in the interests of the investigation.
Two HSP members were slightly injured in the explosion of the hand
grenade thrown outside the HSP club in Vukovar's Borovo Naselje district last
Wednesday.
