VUKOVAR, Oct 21 (Hina) - The head of the Joint Council of (Serb majority) Municipalities, Jovan Ajdukovic, has condemned Wednesday night's explosion which occurred in front of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) offices in the eastern town of Vukovar, in which two persons were injured.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ajdukovic said that this was not a politically-motivated assault and that it was committed not by "young Serbs", but by people who had names.

"I publicly condemn members of the Serb community Zoran Ostojic, Milan Devedzic and Dragan Devedzic as direct participants in this incident," Ajdukovic said, adding that the incident happened because the perpetrators were under the influence of alcohol.

Ajdukovic believes that similar incidents should be condemned by the entire community in the interest of inter-ethnic reconciliation and the building of trust.

The incident was also condemned by the president of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS), Vojislav Stanimirovic, who said that this was an isolated incident. He added that the perpetrators were not members of the SDSS and that the incident was not politically motivated.
