VUKOVAR, Oct 21 (Hina) - Vukovar-Srijem police on Thursday morning arrested three people in connection with last night's explosion outside the offices of the local branch of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) in Vukovar's Borovo Naselje district in which two party deputies were lightly injured, investigating judge Nikola Besenski said.

The arrested people are D.M. (1981), D.D (1977) and Z.U. (1975) from Borovo which is populated mostly by Serbs.

Bresenski reiterated that the explosion was preceded by an argument involving several persons who were sitting on the terrace outside the offices of the local branch of the HSP in the building. At one point one of them walked away and soon afterwards there was an explosion, Besenski confirmed.

The police discovered the remains of an M-75 hand grenade at a field near the building, Besenski said.

Reporters learned that the two injured HSP deputies are Petar Novta and Vlado Sterc. Both of them were released from hospital on Wednesday evening.

The investigation has not yet been completed.
