Producer Zvonimir Perusic said he and editor Dusica Dulic learned unofficially that the broadcast was cancelled because a cooperation contract, that TV NS was obliged to prepare, was not signed.
Perusic said he and Dulic wanted to sign the contract last week, when the TV NS deputy manager said the contract was not ready but that the programme would be aired nevertheless.
The chairman of the Croatian National Council in Serbia and Montenegro Executive Committee, Lazo Vojnic Hajduk, told reporters there was not an ounce of good will at TV NS to give all ethnic minorities equal status in the broadcasting of their news programmes.
Council president Josip Jovanovic said he would notify Serbia's state bodies as well as the newly-established Serbian Council for National Minorities.
A programme covering the life and customs of Croats in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina has been on air twice a month since 2001.
The incumbent TV NS management cancelled the programme four times until now, using various excuses.
