PULA, Sept 24 (Hina) - Spokeswoman for the Istria County Police
Department Stefanija Prosenjak Zumber said the police on Friday pressed charges
against 12 Slovene citizens who illegally entered Croatia on Wednesday and
refused to identify themselves, The charges were forwarded to an investigating judge at the Petty
Offence Court in Umag.
The spokesman said that the Slovenes were charged with violating the law
on the control of the state border and the law on the movement and sojourn of
foreigners, given that the 12 men illegally entered Croatia and refused to
identify themselves.
A 7,000 kuna is foreseen for the violation of the first law, while a
fine ranging from 500 to 5,000 kuna is foreseen for the violation of the second
law.
