A statement released after the session said INA would follow demand on the domestic market and only moderately correct prices so as not to disturb their balance.
The management discussed the current state of affairs and the possible consequences of the high increase in the prices of oil and oil products.
The statement said the management understood the government's concern about the high prices of oil on the world market and that, like the government, was interested in keeping the Croatian market stable.
The Ivo Sanader Cabinet yesterday asked INA to respond to the price increase by reducing rebates. Sanader said the government would follow the growth of oil prices and intervene only if the price of petrol reached the critical level of eight kuna.
