Kosovo police spokesman Refki Morina said on Friday that there was yet no information on the attackers or the motive of the attack and that the police were investigating the case.
The wounded reporter is in hospital and her life is not in danger.
According to "Koha Ditore", the "Caritas" charity vehicle carrying the reporter and two other passengers was shot at from another vehicle near the village of Glogovac.
The daily's editor, Naser Miftari, did not rule out the possibility that the attack was motivated by the fact that the reporter was known for writing about politically sensitive topics.
Three Albanian reporters were killed and several others were wounded or abused since the end of the war in Kosovo in June 1999.
