PLOVANIJA, Sept 22 (Hina) - The 12 Slovene citizens who were arrestedaround 1630 hours on Wednesday after illegally entering Croatia andrefusing to produce identity documents were released from the policestation in Buje around 2200
hours and escorted to the Plovanija bordercrossing, Istria County Police Department spokeswoman StefanijaProsenjak-Zumber said.
PLOVANIJA, Sept 22 (Hina) - The 12 Slovene citizens who were arrested
around 1630 hours on Wednesday after illegally entering Croatia and refusing
to produce identity documents were released from the police station in Buje
around 2200 hours and escorted to the Plovanija border crossing, Istria County
Police Department spokeswoman Stefanija Prosenjak-Zumber said.She added charges would be pressed against the Slovenes for violations
of the law on the control of the state border and the law on the movement and
sojourn of foreigners in Croatia.
The spokeswoman refuted claims by Slovene media that Croatian police
injured Slovene People's Party leader Janez Podobnik during arrest. Most of the
people arrested today are members of this party.
