LJUBLJANA, Sept 23 (Hina) - Slovene Prime Minister Anton Rop said on Thursday that after the latest incident on the border with Croatia his country could no longer support Croatia's admission to the European Union.

"Intolerable incidents like the one that happened on the Slovene-Croatian border on Wednesday mean that Slovenia will withhold its support to Croatia's admission to the EU indefinitely," the STA agency quoted Rop as telling Slovene Radio.

He added that Slovenia would "launch appropriate procedures", primarily against Croatia. Procedures against "people who arrested the Slovene nationals" have already been launched, criminal charges will be pressed against them, and they will be prosecuted by the Slovene judiciary, Rop added.
