The session was convened at the request of the Slovene People's Party.
Chairman Roman Jakic told reporters after the session the committee most vehemently condemned and protested against "the crude and brutal treatment of Slovene MPs and citizens by Croatian police on the south border of Piran Municipality".
The committee adopted conclusions calling on Croatia to "refrain from actions which are incomprehensible for a state trying to become a member of the EU," said Jakic.
One of the conclusions says that the arrest of 12 Slovene nationals took place "on Slovene territory on the left side of the Dragonja river", and refers to claims that in building the Plovanija border crossing on the model of the Slovene crossing on the other side of the border, Croatia admitted that this was a "temporary solution which will not prejudge the border".
Jakic said that apart from the EU, Slovenia would notify NATO about the incident as well.
