ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The House of Representatives ofBosnia-Herzegovina's parliament on Thursday adopted a package of lawswhich serve as the legal foundation for the start of the transfer ofsome trials from the Hague-based UN war
crimes tribunal to courts inBosnia.
ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The House of Representatives of
Bosnia-Herzegovina's parliament on Thursday adopted a package of laws which
serve as the legal foundation for the start of the transfer of some trials from
the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal to courts in Bosnia.MPs adopted in urgent procedure amendments to laws on the country's
Court and Office of the Prosecutor, regulating the establishment of separate
departments within the said institutions which would tackle war crimes.
The parliament passed a law on the protection of witnesses, which was
also a precondition for the start of war crimes trials in the country.
