kind of crimes, the Bosnian Televisionreported on Tuesday evening quoting sources from the country's Officeof the Prosecutor.
MOSTAR, Sept 21 (Hina) - In the Bosnian Croat-Muslim entity, 7,277
persons, mostly Serbs, are suspected of war crimes, while in the other entity
-- the Republic of Srpska -- 2,352 people, mostly Croats and Muslims, are
suspected of this kind of crimes, the Bosnian Television reported on Tuesday
evening quoting sources from the country's Office of the Prosecutor.The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has
allowed the Croat-Muslim Federation to prosecute 518 war crimes suspects, and
it has transferred 40 cases to the Serb entity, the television said.
In the beginning of 2005, a war crimes department is expected to begin
functioning within the Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina. It will handle all cases,
except for trials of high-profile officials who will be prosecuted by the
Hague-based tribunal.
