The consultations focused on future bilateral cooperation and Croatia's efforts to join the European Union.
The Austrian official reiterated that his country fully supported Croatia's efforts to join the Union. The two officials also exchanged positions on the situation in southeastern Europe.
Austria will continue to support Croatia's admission to the Regional Partnership which covers Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. This regional group was set up in 2001 with the purpose of promoting mutual help in the process of European integration.
