ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - Five Croatian officers on Monday left Zagreb
for Sierra Leone, where they will spend the next twelve months as part of the
UN peace mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL).This is the sixth group of Croatian unarmed military observers to leave
for Sierra Leone to oversee the implementation of peace agreements after the
civil war in the country.
Croatia has participated in the UN mission in Sierra Leone since 1999
and this is the first international military operation to include Croatian
military staff.
